The Bridgewater Bandits are pleased to announce the hirings of Mike DiOrio as the new Director of Hockey Operations, as well as Mike D’Ericco as the new Midget Director.  Both men replace former Director of Hockey, Tom MacDonald, of three years whom the Bandits thank for his years with the organization and wish him well in his future endeavors.

Mike DiOrio brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in youth hockey to the Bandits organization.  His recent experience as a Manager of Program Services for Mass Hockey has forged relationships with the 200+ association leaders across Massachusetts, equipping him with tactical programs and methodologies that work well.  Prior to working for Mass Hockey, Mike served as the Marketing/Technology representative for CCM Hockey, where he was responsible for CCM product activation for all of New England, including store training, events and team fittings at the collegiate level.  His abilities to build relationships, access cutting-edge hockey knowledge and programming, and sales background will serve the Bandits program well, while positively pushing the organization to new heights.

“I am very much looking forward to effecting positive change for players, coaches, and families, while working diligently on a comprehensive development program to make this organization the best that it can be,” said Mike DiOrio.

He has attained a level 4 USA Hockey Coach certification, and is working towards level 5.  Mike was the Assistant Coach for Catholic Memorial and an integral part of the Catholic Memorial Super 8 Championship team in high school. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University and was part of the 100 point club as a forward for the ACHA Team.  Mike currently lives in Bridgewater with his wife Jenna and son Michael.

Mike D’Errico is a seasoned hockey coach, with 17+ years of coaching within both Youth and Midget levels of play.  His hockey acumen is top-shelf with successful years of Head Coaching at Brockton Youth Hockey (2005-2008), Brewins Youth Hockey (2010-2012 & 2020), South Shore Eagles Youth Hockey (2012-2016), Bridgewater Bandits Midgets (2021-Current), and East Bridgewater/West Bridgewater High School Varsity (2020-Current).  He has been challenged to develop an organized and strong Midget’s program for the Bridgewater Bandits. Mike currently lives in Middleboro with his wife Marla and children Kathleen, Michael, and Stephen.

"I am excited about the opportunity to quickly build the Bridgewater Bandits Midget program to one of the premier programs in Massachusetts, while watching players positively prepare and develop for high school hockey alongside great Bandits coaching," said Mike D’Errico

The Bridgewater Bandits welcome both men to our program, and look forward to introducing them to players and families very shortly upon their arrival.

“We are very excited to bring a new direction and energy into the Bridgewater Bandits program.  Since purchasing, we have made significant strides forward, but we are looking to continue to improve our Youth and Midgets programs to make this organization exactly what I know it can be,” said Scott Harlow, Owner.
